Check Your Beliefs

"We see the world, not as it is, but as we are──or, as we are conditioned to see it." - Stephen R. Covey


This sentence caused such an important mindset shift for me back in the day. To understand that we filter reality through our own perception, which is heavily influenced by our belief system.


Food for thought: Where does your belief system come from?


Do you examine the source and credibility of information you let into your mind and accept as true? Many of us take 'thinking' for granted, but we should be critical and reflective about our own way of thinking and the thought process of others.


Taking time to dissect your belief system can liberate you from limiting beliefs that you just have been conditioned to.


Ask yourself: Is it a fact or is it an opinion?


The information we accept as true are the building blocks of our beliefs that form our decisions and guide our behaviour.
